ARE YOU GOD THERE? IT’S ME, MARGARET OFFICIAL TRAILER RELEASED

The official trailer for Lionsgate’s Are You There God? It’s Me Margaret adaptation was released. The new film is based on Judy Blume’s iconic coming-of-age novel of the same name, which follows teenage Margaret Simon as she struggles with a new school and longs to fit in.

The trailer shows Margaret (played by Abby Ryder Fortson) learning about puberty, joining secret clubs with friends and praying for normality – all with nostalgic ’70s regalia. Margaret’s mother (played by Rachel McAdams) is also trying to adjust to her new surroundings, while Margaret’s grandmother (played by Kathy Bates) is reluctant to be left behind by her family in New York City.

The film also stars Elle Graham and Benny Safdie and is directed by Kelly Fremon Craig, who also directed The Edge of Seventeen. It will be released on April 28th.
