Bruce Springsteen performs Do I Love You (Indeed I Do) cover art on Fallon: Watch

Bruce Springsteen appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon Monday night (November 14) to perform his cover of Frank Wilson’s Do I Love You (Indeed I Do). He also stayed for an interview, in which he discussed his new album Only the Strong Survive, the correct lyrics to the often misheard Thunder Road, and potential participation in Taylor Swift’s upcoming tour. Watch everything happening below.

Only the Strong Survive is a collection of soul covers by a diverse list of artists, including the Commodores’ “Nightshift”, Ben E. King’s “Don’t Play That Song (You Lied)” and transgender pioneer Jackie Shane’s “Auf different way.” Explaining why he chose to cover soul songs specifically, Springsteen said, “My goal is for modern audiences to experience its beauty and joy as I have experienced it since I got it heard for the first time.”

Only the Strong Survive follows Bruce Springsteen’s 2020 album Letter to You. It is also the musician’s first cover collection since April 2006’s We Shall Overcome: The Seeger Sessions.

Beginning February 1, 2023, Springsteen will embark on a world tour with the E Street Band in support of his new albums. The long run marks his first tour in six years. Fans have spoken out against Ticketmaster’s “dynamic pricing” for the concerts, which listed tickets priced in excess of $5,000, but Springsteen’s manager Jon Landau defended the tour’s ticket pricing model in a statement.
