Caroline Polachek has released a new remix of “Welcome to My Island” featuring Charli XCX and 1975 George Daniel. The house-inspired remix is the latest offering from Polachek, who is set to release her upcoming album Desire, I Want to Turn Into You in February. This isn’t the first time Charli XCX and Caroline Polachek have worked together. In 2021, they collaborated with Christine and the Queens on “New Shapes,” the second single from Charli’s 2022 album Crash, and Polachek also performed on the Pop 2 song “Tears.”
Desire, I Want to Turn Into You is Polachek’s first new album since 2019’s Pang. Both releases feature contributions from Danny L. Harle, who is on the new album can be seen. In addition to “Welcome to My Island,” Polachek has released other singles including “Sunset,” “Billions,” and “Bunny Is a Rider.” She will also be touring in February, with dates across Europe and North America later this year.
