Elon Musk suspends Kanye West from Twitter for inciting violence

Kanye West’s anti-Semitism is a bridge too far even for Elon Musk.

In one of his first acts of censorship since taking control of Twitter, the self-proclaimed “free speech absolutist” deleted a number of West’s tweets with a swastika and imposed a 12-hour ban on West’s account.

West responded to the news by sharing a text message from Musk, in which the Twitter CEO wrote, “Sorry, but you’ve gone too far. That’s not love.” West also posted a shirtless photo of Musk, which he labeled “my last tweet.”

Musk replied to West via his own Twitter account. “That’s fine,” Musk tweeted in response to the shirtless photo. “It’s not that,” he added in response to West’s use of the swastika.

In response to a Twitter user asking Musk to “fix Kanye please,” Musk replied answered“I tried my best. However, he again violated our policy against incitement to violence. Account will be suspended.”

The previous Thursday, West appeared in Alex Jones’ InfoWars, where he explicitly and repeatedly praised Adolf Hitler while denying that the Holocaust had taken place.
