Five colorful election day haiku [by Lewis Saul]

1 min read

the sick red tide blooms
spreads across the devastated land
like escaping cold pus

see! A scary
Black clouds envelop the desert
Pink Chollas shed tears

babbling sky-blue brook
so happy, so free, so pure
why are you choking

soft lilac petal
trembles in the storm
somehow survive

hollow yellow men
on bases of powdery mildew
stinks of lies
