One artist we’re keeping an eye on for 2023 is the young and talented Isaac Palmer, who has already proven he’s destined for greatness. Born with numerous medical challenges and countless surgeries, Isaac has been through more than most, but he’s been through it all, incredibly determined to share his love and passion for music with the world.
He’s only 22 and released the track “Inception” on Maxximize/Spinnin’ Records with his widely acclaimed collaboration with Tony Junior. He’s even shown off his remixing skills for Ty Dolla $ign and his friends The Chainsmokers, who have lit up the airwaves and found their way into DJ sets around the world.
Now he’s back working with Amero, a Loudkult favorite who has reached millions of streams in his catalogue, and thmpsn, who has built a brand of millions of followers around his exciting videos of him playing the violin in exotic locations , for her single “Walk It Off ft. Roshin”, signed to the respected label LoudKult. Featuring an energetic voice from Roshin, these four created an electrifying tech house single that’s utterly irresistible. Whether it’s the pithy bassline or the swinging groove, it all comes together seamlessly to make this an essential peak-time club track.
We had the chance to talk to Isaac about the song, his accomplishments this year and his plans for next year. Enjoy!
Tell us how Walk It Off came about.
I started this project over a year ago. I met Thmpsn in Vegas and I’ve known Amero for years so it’s cool to finally have a track together. I was super happy that Roshin replied to my DM! I remember watching the Ultra Miami live stream and seeing Alesso perform his song with Shaun Frank. I wanted to work with him immediately! He’s super talented! Many thanks to Loudkult for believing in the song!
What was your biggest highlight in 2022?
My biggest highlight of 2022 was definitely being able to play shows in Europe all summer. I was allowed to experience what tour life is like and that was very crazy! Can’t wait to hopefully do it next summer! Another big highlight was being able to do a remix for The Chainsmokers! That was very special!
What did you learn in 2022 that you didn’t know before?
I learned to make music while having a busy travel schedule throughout the summer. I could travel with my best friends. It was a very busy schedule and I learned very quickly how to make music, do shows and party a lot. Big thanks to my brother Tony Junior for bringing me!
Which artists are really inspiring you right now? In what ways do they inspire you (branding, sound design, songwriting, etc.)?
I have many artists that inspire me right now. The Chainsmokers are big! They put out really creative music and are the same with their branding. Skrillex is another artist I really like lately. I’ve heard a lot of his music and he’s so experimental and I love that. I want to do more of that in 2023.
What are some of your goals for 2023?
My goals in 2023 are to release more original music and remixes than ever before! I also want to play more shows than this year. Also in the coming year I’m aiming for a specific stream number! I look forward to the new year! I have a lot of cool things I’ve been working on and I can’t wait to show everyone.
