sometimes I flash forward and cry
I’m afraid to have that thought.
a 1.5 room apartment in a city that I can stand
metallic hangers and dark girl art,
their faces covered by large flowers
and overgrown fruit
a bed so heavy it scares the sinking hips
a man with my feet in his hands
who half-coos, “I bet you were tough
to find before I found you”
all things shine
The man’s eyes growl
every fruit immature
wish everything
be unfounded
