French artist The Toxic Avenger has had an incredible career so far. His first success was “Super Heroes” which led to a deal with the record label Iheartcomix. He has also released a number of EPs and has had various collaborations with a range of artists including Chromeo, Robert Bruce of UK band South Central in Never Stop starring Bruce and a music video directed by Antoine Wagner.
Now he’s back with his most eclectic and ambitious project since his debut 15 years ago. His latest album Yes Future is an exciting ride that explores the best elements of electronic music. The styles jump effortlessly from synthetic and organic electro to nu-disco/French touch while paying homage to the genre as a whole and its own expansive back catalogue. No matter how far he strays from his comfort zone, his intricate musical signatures ensure you’ll always know it’s The Toxic Avenger the moment you hear it.
A few highlights for us are the dreamy track “Everything Seems Ok”, the mesmerizing deep house collaboration with My Dear, “Osaka” and “Lake City Quiet Pills”, the sensational ending to this beautiful experience.
